.... I loved it.
NO.
I REALLY loved it.
It made my heart sing.
The thing is we're all different so I'm not going to tell
you that you've just GOT TO SEE THIS MOVIE.
(But that is what I'm thinking)
Yes there were a few contributing factors.
Mitigating circumstances that would put anyone in a great
mood and, as result, predispose one to thinking favourably of a film.
Luna Cinema in Leederville ...
Think Art Deco, red pressed tin ceilings
and exquisitely small
(completely clad in red velvet)
cinemas that seat only 30....
... good grub...
... pistachio gelato
(insert drool)
And a street that has attitude ...
.... all in all a brilliant date.
(Thanks Jb)
Next on the film list .... Beasts of the Southern Wild
(I cried all through the trailer so wish me luck!)
Weekend peoples?
Plans? Recipes? Fun? Work?
My favourite quote from Moonrise:
- Sam: What happened to your hand?
- Suzy: It got hit by a mirror.
- Sam: How'd that happen?
- Suzy: I lost my temper at myself.

A lovely film, I waited all year to see it and I wasn't disappointed. I went to an advance screening at a boring old, chain cinema where they do not serve pistachio icecream (!) but I just couldn't wait any longer.
I love that sign. Art I reckon.
Hello:
Something else to be added to an ever lengthening list of films to be seen. It is always so good to have this kind of recommendation for there is so much out there.
Gah, I missed this in the cinema, now I'll have to wait for the DVD! But you have reminded me that I need to drag my boyfriend out for a movie-and-an-ice-cream sort of date. Thanks!
A spectacular day, in a spectacular city, with a spectacular lady! Mwa!
I haven't been to the movies for such a long time...
Maybe I should soon!
How bizarre Fras! Michael and I were parked in front of that sign last night and commented on it! Love the new look to Tied up with string :)
