The first real rain....

We've had some drizzle and we've had some grey.

This weekend however....

brought REAL rain...

... loud and wild ....

...windy and wet...

... soaking the lawn...

... and washing the plants...

... leaving only jewels and gems ...

... reflecting in the sun.

I walked around this morning marvelling
at mother nature ....

... and how her beauty staggers me.

This jar
(that my sister gave me for my birthday)
sits near the window on my desk.
The prisms on the lid catch the morning sunlight...

... resulting in mini rainbows that
move about me while I write.

It's going to be a very good day.

Hello:
We have always rather enjoyed heavy rain, not least for its sound but for the way it also refreshes everything and, at times, can be so welcome after long, dry periods.

These wonderful images do so beautifully capture the effect of raindrops on plants and are lovely to look at, as is the wonderful jar, the gift from your sister, which sits on your writing desk.

Have a really enjoyable week.

"Loud and wild" rain sounds wonderful and the pictures you captured of it are beautiful. Thank you for your wonderful rooster comment on my blog. What an intriguing situation you have with roosters there! I love the thought of you writing surrounded by rainbows!

Hello!
Thank you so much for your comment today. I was rather worried that the post might seem a bit preachy to people who have never been to South Africa and was so glad that it struck a chord with you.

Thanks for all your comments - I would have replied directly but could not find an email address.

Beautiful post today...I'm also staggered by nuture in all its glory this morning.
It hasn't stopped raining here since last night, so I didn't fancy my walk this morning as it's still pouring ~ call me whoosie ~ but Mufftypup did!
So wrapped up and carrying my brolly off we ventured out and before I'd taken 20 paces I was rejuvenated!
I snapped some shots too.
Your photos are fantastic by the way ;D
Enjoy the day!
