On colour... or rather lack thereof....

I'm wondering.... do you have a favourite colour?
Does it surface in many areas of your life?
Are you brave with the use of it?

Or do you just love colour? Period?
Bright and audacious?
Pastel and muted?

Do you find that some people know there colours better than others?
Are you one of those people?
Go on tell the truth.

I bought my first ever colour wheel recently.
I thought I knew colours...
... really I did.

Turns out I do not

You see this course has challenged me in many ways - but none
so strongly as in the way I understand (and view) colour.

Ok let's clarify a few things first.

I'm not colour blind....
.....I love certain colours more than others....
....I dislike certain colours and colour combinations - immensely.
I have a deep love for muted pastels...
...I have a wardrobe FULL of grey.....
I think black, white and all the shades in between are truly, truly beautiful.

However... (and this is a big however)
... I do not KNOW colours - how they work together, how they clash, WHY they clash,
what they are made of, what they represent, where they fit .... *

I know how they make me feel though...
... and right now I'd say that I feel pretty overwhelmed.

If you work with flowers you need... no MUST... know colour.

Is this something I can learn?
I sure hope so....

Otherwise I'm in trouble!

Thoughts?

*Ironically when I went to link back to my post about the course I'm studying I noted that the image I used that day was full of colour - and rather nicely composed too I might add.
I suppose there's hope yet.

Bloomin Soap...

I love soap ...

... and these triple milled darlings are just
the kind that get my heart racing....

... made by Michel Design Works
heavenly scented....

... stunningly packaged ... Sigh...

... and no I'm not being endorsed to say any of this
(however if the company need a tester,
marketing manager, stylist...
... photocopy lackey? ... I'm there baby)

It's UK based so the closet POM in me would love it if, by some chance,
they desperately needed an Australian gal to come on over and
help design, promote, use .... smell any new lines.

I had a look a their website and they are soon to release
a range for the festive season ... swoon.

Whilst taking photos of the soap I decided
that (actually) I want to be a stylist....

... that way I get to work with beautiful products as well as hopefully
some brilliant creative minds and perhaps a few florists too....

... Our garden provided all these blooms...

... stunning yes?

So there you have it...

A change in career whilst smelling soap...

..... and collecting flowers.

And people think I'm fickle ... Pfffffff...

Heaven on Earth...

Alright peoples.
Deep breath.
If this is what heaven looks like
(which I really hope it might)
Then please .... somebody shoot me now

I'm seated in this chair - I'm looking out at Gods canvas - the Swiss Alps. I have tea, no wine. I'm reading poetry. I'm smelling the fire. I'm wriggling my toes and smiling like a silly puppy. I'm wondering how blessed we are to have dreamers who create spaces for other dreamers. I'm a little emotional, I'm a little excited. I look around and I realise that nature really can provide you with all that you will ever need. I'm in love.

I was sent the December Aesop e-letter and in it there was a link to this place.
Chalet Zannier in the Swiss Alps.
And if you think these images are swoon worthy - then take a sacred moment

I'm actually now..... speech "less"

Please note!
All images taken from the Chalet Zannier website.
(If I was there I doubt I'd even remember to take photos!)
