Giddy - /'gid´e/ Verb: to make someone feel excited to the point of distraction....

I'm giddy. I'm so so giddy.
Only one more sleep and I begin my course
(permission to use exclamation profanity)
My Floral Design Course!!!!!!!!!!!

I've always loved studying, being a student, attending lectures, writing essays
(I'm a consummate nerd)
I've always studied what I thought I SHOULD - never what I really WANT.
You know how life tells you that you need to get a job and be responsible and make money
and have a go at a successful career and balance it with family and do the right thing?

Well what if the right thing is to forget all that and just do what makes your heart sing?
It's risky. It's scary. It does not promise big bucks... oh no no.

Yet... I am giddy. Ready and giddy.

A minute from my morning

We've had crazy weather lately. Four seasons in a day complete with a thunderstorm or two.
Summer soaks through the skin with a humidity that is quite unexpected for this time of year.

My garden needs extra water and the chickens are seeking out shade in the midday hours. The pool blanket has been removed and the string lights unpacked. I have a list as long as my arm of all the necessary tasks to tend to before the festive season begins.

This translates to an alarm clock set just that one hour earlier; and bedtime just that one hour later (or does it?) Never the less as I endeavour to make sure all gets done I'm reminded of a wonderful quote from an Aesop fable ... "slow and steady wins the race"

Here's a minutes footage from my morning ... the fog was ghostly and the birds chorused loudly whilst I took an outside shower. It was such an atmospheric moment that I thought a still image might not quite suffice....

No at all what you'd call a Summer's morning.
How was your weekend peoples?
We were asked to "dog-sit" for friends.
It was fun.

Dragon Rock ...

In between spring cleaning the house and
eating yummy food we stole an hour to
not far from where we live ...

“If a child is to keep alive his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement, and mystery of the world we live in.” Rachel Carlson

“We love the things we love for what they are.”
Robert Frost

“Differences of habit and language are nothing at all if our aims are identical and our hearts are open.”
J.K. Rowling

“I am a part of all that I have met.”
Alfred Tennyson

“Nature and Books belong to the eyes that see them.”
Emily Bronte

How has your week treated you thus far peoples?
Are you getting all that you need to done?
Does it matter?
Can you afford to take a break and savour a
sacred place?
Alone or with a loved one...
It matters not.

I know that one day when I look back at these
posts I wont be thinking about the things I
did not get around to cleaning, sorting or finishing.

I guess that's the real reason I chose to start a blog.
I needed a reminder that my life contains
so much magic  - even in amongst the mundane.

Thank you for sharing these moments with me.
