Handicraft
Main article: Handicraft
Handicraft is the "traditional" main sector of the crafts, it is a type of work where useful and decorative devices are made completely by hand or by using only simple tools. Usually the term is applied to traditional means of making goods. The individual artisanship of the items is a paramount criterion, such items often have cultural and/or religious significance. Items made by mass production or machines are not handicraft goods.

I mentioned a trip to the Kalamunda History Village.
Well this was one of the items
on display in the museum section.
These phone camera shots are yuk, I know.
Still I had to share. I spent ages staring at all the details
and marvelling at the fact that this Dollhouse was nearly
40 years old!
Craft - Always was. Always will be.

PS - I agree, the dolls are kinda creepy.

Lurvely and amazing detail Fras, I love it! Ps - did you find your beloved jam jars?!
I'm so glad that you added the p.s. about the dolls, because I wanted to say that I always find old dolls creepy but thought you might not be pleased ;D
I love all the other intricate details though...an amazing amount of work to create this little mini residence. Whomever created it must have had so much time and patience...obviously in the time before the internet!!!
I find dolls' houses so much more interesting as an adult than I did as a child! I guess when you're little, teeny tiny miniature things aren't half as interesting as when you're big.
