Oh I do love to be beside the seaside...

A book should serve as the ax for the frozen sea within us.
Franz Kafka

On life's vast ocean diversely we sail. Reasons the card, but passion the gale.
Alexander Pope

There is one spectacle grander than the sea, that is the sky;
there is one spectacle grander than the sky, that is the interior of the soul.
Victor Hugo

The three great elemental sounds in nature are the sound of rain,
the sound of wind in a primeval wood, and the sound of outer ocean on a beach.
Henry Beston

A woman knows the face of the man she loves as a sailor knows the open sea.
Honore de Balzac

You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is an ocean;
 if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.
Mahatma Gandhi

Ocean: A body of water occupying about two-thirds of a world made for man - who has no gills.
Ambrose Bierce

I pray to be like the ocean, with soft currents, maybe waves at times.
More and more, I want the consistency rather than the highs and the lows.
Drew Barrymore

Beautiful images and beautiful thoughts. I grew up surrounded by the ocean and miss it.

Great post, Angy! I loved the quotes, the stunning photos, and man oh man, that gorgeous beach and Summer weather. (My turn to be envious...) ;D

Hey Angy, you have no idea how perfectly timed your post was this morning. We have snow!!! So it was lovely to nip to the beach to warm up a little. All those wonderful photos and quotes transported me for a wee whilie ;D
I love Dido and have that album. I have to admit that I was slightly distracted with looking at the bath...sorry I'm just obsessed with bathrooms at the moment. We're nearly about half way on the new one here before we head straight into the next one :$
Great to see you enjoying the great outdoors.
No I'm not green in the least...just see my nose grow!
Take care xoxo

Your post took me to such a beautiful, peaceful place I love the birds (and their prints) you captured in so many of your photos. I also love the quotes and the song. You moved me right outside my day for a bit and it was lovely!
